Is it too late to join the PTSO?
It is never too late to join the IMS PTSO. You can send in a check made payable to IMS PTSO and put it in an envelope marked IMS PTSO Membership Dues and return to the IMS school office. We welcome members at any time throughout the school year.
How much are PTSO Membership Dues?
Membership to the IMS PTSO is $15 for families and staff members. The PTSO is dedicated to providing each child at IMS fun and educational opportunities that will help them grow into the best young adults they can be. Our current budget for the activities we provide is approximately $10,000. The majority of these activities are funded through your paid membership dues. One hundred percent of the proceeds from your membership stay right here at IMS and benefit the students.
If I am a member of a PTO at another school within the district, do I need to join the IMS PTSO?
Yes. PTO's retain 100% of their membership dues and operate independently of one another, unlike a PTA. We encourage parents to participate in the PTO or PTA at each of their children's schools. It is a great way to not only be involved in your child's education, but to keep yourself up-to-date with current and future plans for our school, the district, and individual buildings
What kind of things does the PTSO provide for our school?
We fund and staff many activities for our students including the BOLD & GOLD programs in the winter and fun days in the spring for 7th and 8th grade. We also recognize our great staff with our annual Staff Appreciation Luncheon in May.
How can I contact someone to volunteer?
You can email Robert McCormick at firstname.lastname@example.org
for volunteer opportunities for the various activities that are held at IMS. There are volunteer opportunities for moms and dads, as well as day time and evening activities that can only be a success with the efforts of our wonderful and dedicated volunteers.
